If you’ve followed Zeffler Photo for any length of time you would know I’m a fan of Daniel Edlen and his Vinyl Art – portraits of musicians on the vinyl records they recorded. It’s such a cool concept and Daniel’s talent for making this iconic faces emerge from the album grooves is remarkable.
Following Daniel on social media is like being lured into a trap, but in a good way. he leaves little breadcrumbs of information that eventually lead to a big reveal.
I was following a certain trail of breadcrumbs that had something to do with Jimi Hendrix…when I received a call that he needed some “behind the scenes” photos of his work for a – Big Reveal – display at the Chandler Fashion Center Mall scheduled for installation just before Thanksgiving.
I was excited to help with some photos because I like Daniel and want to see him succeed. That kind of exposure during the busiest shopping time of the year should be great for his brand. I also love photographing someone doing whatever it is they are passionate about.
I like seeing how the sausage is made, so to speak.
We knocked out the photos, the display is up and will stay up for the foreseeable future. I highly recommend checking it out if you are near Chandler Fashion Center. The photos might be cool, but nothing captures seeing a piece in person.
Check out Daniel’s side of the story and see the finished display at his website.
