Lost in Ireland: Glendalough

Dublin was awesome, but the first moment we realized how different Ireland was from where we come from was when we made it to Glendalough Park. We were there for the ruins, but everybody else was there to hike or walk their dog. It’s just a park like any other, except that in the center are centuries old ruins surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and forest.

It makes the best parks in Phoenix look like the turtle shell sandbox available at your local Wal-Mart store.

Burgess said, “This is like walking into a movie.” And it really was. It’s disappointing to see how my photos completely fail to capture what the place was like but at the least it can help us remember Glendalough.
